We are not inert
We are muscles waiting to spring into action. We are joints eager to stretch. The human body is always in motion.
In fact, much of our personalities are born out of the way we move. I’ve always been told that I speak with my hands and I fidget constantly. As such, most people would say that I’m a high-energy sort of person and they would be correct. Our bodies express our inner selves, both consciously and subconsciously.
And motion is much more than just limbs and hands and feet. Motion is in the expressive eyebrow, the tear trickling down a cheek, the head thrown back in laughter.
Something magical happens in photography, when the person in front of the lens starts to move. All these other aspects of our personalities are given permission to come out and play.
I can do funny things like throw balls at your head, or simple things like make you chuckle. I promise you - somewhere between the pose and the movement, I’ll catch a you that’s super special!
